Call to Actors
Hygienic Art and The O'Neill Center are teaming up to
bring
a new show to the stage this October. For more details,
including the audition call, read about it here.
Theatre in 24 hours?
You
betcha! With front-page news - and photos, too. And we'll do it
again sometime soon, so keep your calendar clear, and if you aren't on our
email
list now, you should be. You'll get advance notice before it goes to
the press for those "out of the know." What's
?
How about our Events Listing Web Site?
We're hosting a new,
comprehensive Area Events site so you can find out what's happening around
you, and beyond. AND - you can post your own events or for
your group, so everyone will know about them. Take
a look! Got a minute?
If you were stranded on a desert island and had only one book
to read......
I have a slightly different take. Click here.
What's Up Next?
From here, we look to our new home to
begin our Fifth Season. And where is that, you ask? We aren't
sure yet, but we welcome your help in finding it. If you know of a place
where innovative theater making is in need, let us know. We're
looking for something nearby to Waterford, but we'll travel a bit.
We'd like to have seating for at least 50, and ample parking nearby.
We won't rule anything out without at least a glance, so if you have any
ideas, please share them by sending an email to newhome@intentionaltheatre.com
and we'll get right out there and have a look. Thanks in advance for
your help.

OTHER
STUFF ARTICLES PAGE UPDATES: Well, in
keeping with a certain policy of mine, I offer apologies to everyone for
having had some problems with the links between the Articles pages, and
having been neglectful in fixing them. They should be okay
now. And there is a
page there, which you'll see indicated by this
neat little graphic. Hope you enjoy.
HAVEN'T HEARD FROM US LATELY?: Here's a
list of people whose email has bounced back to us. Send us your current

BRUSH
WITH FAME: We're happy to share notes of success of those
who have crossed our path. Three playwrights whose work was included
in our First Annual Short Play Festival have been honored in different
ways.
--> Jim Gordon's play "Untitled
#2" will be published in Smith
& Krause’s 2007 anthology of the best short plays of 2006.
--> La'Chris Jordan, whose plays "Impressions"
and "Moment
of Love" we presented, was named as one of the "Top 50
Playwrights to Watch" in the July '07 issue of The Dramatist,
the Dramatists Guild's magazine.
--> Jay Huling, whose riotous play "Bonjour
Raconteur" closed our Short Play Festival, won the Drury
University One-Act Play Competition with "The Wily Ray Riley"
and it will be produced in Missouri in April 2008. And his full-length
comedy "Twelve Bar Blues" will
receive a six-week production by The Vagabond Players Theatre Company in
Los Angeles in February-March 2008. And - as if that isn't enough - his
one-act comedy "Elvis of Nazareth"
will be published next year in The Best American Short Plays: 2007-2008,
published by Applause Books, which has been published every year for the
last 60 years. "Hard
Luck Sings The Blues" will be presented in June 2009 at the
Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg PA, sharing their 58th season with such
notables as Lillian Helman, Neil Simon, and A. R. Gurney.
Congratulations to them all.
