   Let's
               Make
       A
            Scene

In August of 2005, we put together a collection of short pieces, some original, some not often presented. A theme developed as we read through and finalized our script selection - "Am I crazy here, or what?"  We titled the show accordingly. Click on it for more.

'ART'
     by

     Yasmina Reza

In April 2006, we presented 'ART ' by Yasmina Reza, in cooperation with Dramatists Play Service. For more about the play, and pictures click the title.

Next?  Well, it was the First Annual International Short Play Festival, that's what!  A collection of short plays 10 to 30 minutes in length from writers all around the country and as far away as Australia.  Many of these plays have been produced in other states, and they make their Nutmeg State debut with the Intentional Theatre Short Play Festival. Others received their World Premiere on our stage.  Click the picture for a view.

"The Duck Variations"
by David Mamet
~~~~~~ and ~~~~~~
"State of the Art"
by Craig Abernethy
We open our 2007 season with a pair of One-Acts, one by Pulitzer Prize winning writer David Mamet, and one by some guy named Greg, or Chad, or something.  Nooo, we kid the unknown writer from San Diego, with his humorous look into what Pirandello might have called an average day.  It all makes for an enlightening and entertaining.......thing.  A show, if you will.
The
2007 All-Media
Invitational
  After auditions for our previous show, we were struck by how many of those who joined in the madness with us were artistic in many other ways. Singers, painters, poets and more - we thought we should honor their talents with an "all-media" show, and let them "show" off.  Also, it was a heck of a lot less we had to do.  No auditions, no rehearsals, no set (almost), no lights (almost), no props (you know).  Still, four great shows, great talent, great fun. Thanks all. Pictures and details, click on the title at left.
