The Intentional
Theatre |
||
| "Bonjour
Raconteur", by
Jay Huling of Jacksonville FL, tells the story of Russ Gettys, a nice
enough guy who's just simply lost his direction in life, and then happens
across a 10,000 year-old genie's bottle on the beach.
It's hard
navigating your way through three wishes that could change your
life. Especially when you use - or lose - one just getting in the
front door. But with a little help, you might find your way to
getting exactly what you need, despite what you think you want. "Hey - this ain't I Dream
of Jeannie." "Bonjour
Raconteur" closed out our festival as the last play of the night on
the last weekend to a roomful of laughs and applause. A great end to
a great show. |

| About the
Play
The Genie (David Cardone, left) and Russ (Brian
Olsen, right) begin the negotiations over how to use Russ' wishes. There
are rules which you the average beach-comber isn't likely aware,
especially against the trick wish we all think of-- And it goes without saying, don't order the Lobster Newburgh. |

About the Actors David Cardone made his debut with The Intentional Theatre in the Festival. David last appeared as Phil in Inspecting Carol with the Nutmeg Players. Favorite roles include a stressed waiter, identical twins (?), a speech-challenged jazz musician (??), Humphrey Bogart and other assorted blustering clueless individuals. Brian Olsen has appeared in
many local productions in Connecticut and Rhode Island. He attempts to
teach this madness called ‘theatre’ in the Madison school system.
He appeared last year in The Intentional Theatre production of Lets
