The Intentional Theatre
First Annual International Short Play Festival - 2006

"Untitled #2", by Jim Gordon of Norwalk CT, tells us what can happen when we let our misconceptions cloud our judgment.  Unbeknownst to us sometimes, what we see is not always what is in front of us.  And it often takes someone with just that little bit more of knowledge to point out the errors of our ways.  "Untitled #2" was included in The Best Short Plays of 2006, published by Smith & Kraus.  Look for it at finer bookstores near you.

About the Play

Ms. Thompson (Diana Finegold, left) and Ms. Parker (Lynn Ferraro, right) share a laugh at an art show as the discuss some of the crazy interpretations other patrons have shared with them over a favored piece.  But it isn't long until it almost comes to blows (below) as they each learn how the other truly feels about this particular artwork.

About the Actors

Lynn Ferraro was born and raised in the greater New York area to the strains of musical theater.  Her first performance was singing “Getting To Know You” in kindergarten show-and-tell.  She has lead the cast in Camelot, Down in the Valley, Rapunzel, and The Pajama Game.  Lynn was last seen on the Intentional Theatre stage in the short play festival "Let's Make A Scene" in 2005.

Diana Finegold is the founder of the interactive theatre group, Wild Thyme Players, and of Wild Thyme Women, designed to bring women’s voices to the stage. An actor, producer, director, writer and playwright (member of The Dramatists Guild of America), she is the author of 12 audience-participation murder mysteries, including Nothing Personal, a riotous romantic comedy about two middle aged people who meet through the Personal ads.

Appearing as the artist was Lanny Rubin (not shown) who also appeared in "The Day That Brando Died."

About the Playwright

Jim Gordon - actor/director turned writer - has had his plays produced throughout the U.S.  In 2005, he received the "Alan Minieri Award for Playwriting Excellence" from "The American Globe Theatre" in New York City, for his short play, Vinny’s Vision, which will be published in Smith & Krause’s 2007 anthology of the best short plays of 2006.  Jim is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
